The Perfect Marriage By Kimberla Lawson Roby

The Perfect Marriage By Kimberla Lawson Roby

Denise and Derrick seem to have it all They were the perfect couple, they have a perfect life, they have the perfect marriage. Nothing is ever what it seems. I pill, a line, the death of a family member and keeping up appearances isn’t perfect, especially when the perfect couple is in denial. They didn’t have a problem, because they where perfect. They weren’t like the others, Derrick was being dramatic and he was blowing everything out of proportion. Denise had everything under control. And they suffered great consequences for their illusions.

This book was OUTSTANDING. So much was packed into this powerful and extremely emotional story. In reading this, I felt like a fly on the wall. This story was so well told, I felt like I was there first hand. And I cried for them.

This has got to be one of the best stories Kimberla Lawson Roby has ever penned.

Don’t Tell A Soul By Tiffany L. Warren

Don’t Tell A Soul

When a possible “package” scares Eva into a new direction, she is led to The New Faith Church for food for her body and her soul. She becomes friends with Yvonne who invites her to be a part of the Sister to Sister Group. Her baggage and secrets she won’t tell a soul, but Yvonne’s genuine spirit takes Eva under her wing with open arms and heart. She pulls Eva in and shows her nothing but love no matter what demons follow her.

Yvonne who has had her share of drama, loving her husband and not herself for 20 years, is now happy and comfortable in her own skin. She is the perfect example of forgiveness and love and a “King” wants her as his Queen.

Pam and her husband Troy have had a good life but a songbird named Aria and a dark fast and dangerous, Logan, put their marriage to the test. She’s tired of her life as a writer being put on hold for her husbands failing career. He’s putting everything on her and God so if he fails it’s on her and God.

Taylor has her hands full with her man-child; 11 year old son Joshua, her new hubby Spencer and her deadbeat baby daddy and Yvonne’s shady ex-husband Luke, who is free from jail who is now claiming a new leaf… and now wants a relationship with a son he doesn’t really know.

This sisterhood is what love is, these ladies meet up to soothe their souls and they come humbly to God and each other asking for forgiveness and freedom from foolishness

This is the first book I’ve read from Tiffany L. Warren, it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed her voice, sense of humor and messages.

4 Stars great job Tiffany!
